Progress Through Change

To our policyholders,

Teachers Life has been a part of Canadian families’ financial plans for over 80 years. Our business began with insurance for Ontario’s education community and has since expanded to offer a range of life insurance products, critical illness, and group-like disability insurance to thousands of individual Canadians.

As always, we are here for our Members.

While Canada is cautiously returning to “normal” after 18+ months of COVID-19 restrictions, Teachers Life continues to recognize the impact of the pandemic on our families and workplaces. Our customer service teams continue to meet with policyholders virtually. We are currently working on expanding our online and digital products, and we are excited to introduce these innovations to you in the coming months. In fact, Teachers Life was recently recognized  by Best Startup Canada as one of the 46 Top InsurTech Startups and Companies in Canada. Our future is looking bright.

According to a national survey conducted by CAMH, the impact of the pandemic on our collective mental health has been largely negative. Teachers Life has expanded our wellness benefits over the past year to help support our Members and their families. We have partnered with global wellness giant, Virgin Pulse, to bring our Members an award-winning virtual wellness program to help our policyholders improve their mental health, reach health goals, and build supportive online communities. We have also expanded our Healthy Living Rebate to include a variety of virtual activity programs, for those who still prefer to keep their health practice close to home.

I want to assure our policyholders that we are here for you and your family, during the pandemic and beyond. Teachers Life exists for our Members – and their health and financial wellness are our top priority.
