On June 18th we fired up the grills for the Teachers Life 9th Annual Charity BBQ. The weather was perfect, our customers were hungry and the raffle prizes were irresistible – the stage was set for a record-breaking fundraising day. We are pleased and excited to share that we raised over $3000 for Free the Children!
Friends and hungry neighbours: Thank you for coming to Teachers Life to grab a delicious burger last Thursday. You made it a fun and prosperous day! We’d also like to give a shout-out to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts by purchasing a raffle ticket (or 6!). A special thanks to the TDSB, Burnhamthorpe Learning Community, District 12, and District 19 offices for their amazing generosity.
Over 40 prizes were donated for the BBQ raffle table. We received generous contributions from our great partners OTIP, ExamOne, Vintage Hotels, RKM Promotional, The Old Mill, Aon Benfield, Metro, Fusion, Timothy’s, Costco, Global Governance Advisors, RMA, Supreme Health Foods, The Intercorp Group, Illustrate Inc., M.A. Nurse & Associates Inc., FI Capital, CW Partners LLP, Porta Via, M&M Meat Shops, Aon Hewitt, Hooper Holmes, PROforma, Miller Thompson, Harvey’s and Helen Sava & Associates . These donations always make a HUGE difference – Thank you!
Teachers Life has been working with Free the Children to raise funds to build a classroom overseas through their Brick by Brick program. All proceeds from the BBQ will go towards this effort.
