    • 2015 Charity BBQ: A Huge Success!

    • On June 18th we fired up the grills for the Teachers Life 9th Annual Charity BBQ.  The weather was perfect, our customers were hungry and the raffle prizes were irresistible – the stage was set for a record-breaking fundraising day. We are pleased and excited to share that we raised over $3000 for Free the Children! Friends and hungry neighbours: Thank you for coming to Teachers Life to grab a delicious burger last Thursday. You made it a fun and prosperous day!  We’d also like to give a shout-out to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts by purchasing a raffle ticket (or 6!).  A special thanks to the TDSB, Burnhamthorpe Learning Community, District 12, and District 19 offices for their amazing generosity.     • We're excited and proud to announce the 2015 J.F. Allen Scholarship and Bursary Winners! Congratulations to Anash Chowdhry and Hailey MacLeod, our J.F. Allen Scholarship winners! Anash is son to Member Shama Chowdhry of the Toronto District School Board. Hailey is daughter to member Janet McLeod of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Congratulations also go out to the following J.F. Allen Scholarship runner ups: Evangeline McLaren Devenyi, Lauren Peters, Nicole Peters, Lauren Digby, Gillian Mayo, Brendan Masters, Isaac Seifarth, and Mateo Dorado-Troughton. This year's Teachers Life Bursary goes to Devon Gale and Samantha Hepperlee.
