J.F. Allen Scholarship Application

The J.F. Allen Scholarship is awarded to students who exemplify excellence, achievement and involvement in their schools and communities while maintaining a minimum 80% average.

Four J.F. Allen Scholarship recipients receive $2,000 each year for up to four years. Winners selected by random draw of eligible applicants.

Children and grandchildren of active Teachers Life Members currently enrolled in their final year of secondary school are eligible. Full eligibility details available on application.

Teachers Life Bursary Application

The Teachers Life Bursary was created to reward students for their involvement in their schools and communities while maintaining a minimum 70% average.

Six recipients receive a $2,000 bursary, paid one-time. Three of the six bursaries are for students enrolling in a college and the other three are for students enrolling in university. Winners selected by random draw of eligible applicants.

Children and grandchildren of active Teachers Life Members currently enrolled in their final year of secondary school are eligible. Full eligibility details available on application.

Hall & Hall Education Award

The Hall & Hall Education Award was created to reward students entering a Faculty of Education program.

The winner of the Hall & Hall Education Award will receive $2,000, paid one-time. Winner selected by committee.

Young Entrepreneur Award

The Young Entrepreneur Award was added to the Teachers Life Scholarship and Bursary program in 2021, to reward the entrepreneurial spirit of young Canadians. For a budding businessperson between the ages of 14 (Grade 9) – 25 years. Must have an idea for a socially responsible innovation (product or service) that could use some extra funding to take the idea to the next level.

The winner of the Young Entrepreneur Award will receive $2,000, paid one-time. Winner selected by committee.
